I have an antique table that I would like to paint and whitewash for my bedroom. I read that you painted the table first and then go back and whitewash. Then take some steel wool and distress as I would like it to look . Does this sound corrrect to you. Also, the table is a dark wood, does this make any difference - or should a primer be used first
