Painting a Sponged Wall

Posted by Steve S. on April 18th, 2000 12:08 PM

Hello again, well onto my next project: I am going to begin re-painting a room where the previous owners sponged painted the walls. The walls look light pink and "off-white" There seems to be areas where the sponged area is raised. The walls are plaster. How do get the walls completely smooth? Sandpaper or screen? Palm sander or by hand? Any help is greatly appreciated. As always thanks for your help in advance. So far your advice has helped me greatly! -Steve
