Painting A Shingled Roof ...

No, I don't have any experience w/this but in short, I don't see the benefit in doing this OTHER than matching a color.

Painting it, adds no value, may shorten its life, may look funny in a year or 2 of what 4 seasons will do to it, and so on. I know the roof will get hot so if you do decide to paint it, make sure your paint will sustain 135+ degrees of heat for hours and days on end. Plus, 'things' drip and stain the paint. If you don't like the look, you can't reverse it.

I'd wait out the 'asthetic loses' and redo the roof when it needs it. In the mean time, I'm sure there are other things to occupy your time with. :) My best to ya and hope this helps.
