Help! We had a group of painters this summer who spilled paint on our cedar shake roof while trying to paint the dormers. As one of the painters was on the roof, the ladder slid dropping the majority of a gallon of paint on the cedar shakes. Since she did not know how to address this problem she waited several hours for her manager to arrive. He tried to remove the paint with OOPS. Consequently the brush he used peeled the top layer of the cedar shake. The shakes that he tried to repair are now a different color than the rest of the roof. In addition, we have large paint spots on many of the other shakes near the spill. Can anyone tell us how to solve this problem?
