I am restoring an older house with many, many layers of paint. Some of these would be lead paint. I read an article off internet, and i think it was this old house stuff concerning removal with lead dangers. This article says that heat guns and heat plates do not generate high enough heat to turn the lead to fumes. But a blow torch (like who would use that anyway?) does. So I am looking for a heat plate and hope to find one at the paint prosusa.com site. I saw these messages and thought I would reassure the person who was lucky enough to find a heat plate. But you may want to check with professionals for yourself. I will be removing interior paints, and therefore lots of fans, so I hope my senior moments don't suddenly become more often.
