Owens Corning vs. Others

Posted by Richard on January 17th, 2003 11:07 PM

I am building a large home and I have a question regarding the quality of blown insulation material vs. Ownes Corning Pink fiberglass loosefill for attics (3000 sq ft)

As long as the proper R-value is achieved, should I be worried if it not an Ownes Corning product? Owns Corning states their product:
It will not settle or lose its energy-saving abilities over time.
It does not require the addition of fire-retardant chemicals that can promote corrosion of pipes or wires.
It will not rot or decay, support fungus or mold growth, or provide sustenance for insects or vermin.

How does the other products compare?

Thanks in advance for any help!
