I might suggest a regular power strip with a ul approved circuit breaker......
AS long as the cord was supported without chance of damage when the drawer was operated
AND the load was within the rated limits of the tap
AND it was plugged into a safe wall outlet without using cheaters and/or additional cords
AND devices were not left plugged into the tap 'permanently' with the drawer closed................
