Hi. I live in a 73 year old house. I think I have steam heat (though i'm not completely sure) My furnace was upgraded last winter and since, the radiators have been putting out a lot more heat. However, they've also gotten really really loud. This fall they've started hissing so loud they sound like they're about to take off and fly. One of them (in a small bathroom) was releasing so much steam it was making pools of water on the floor if the door was left closed. I turned it off completely and that worked for awhile, but now it seems to be having breakthrough steam coming out the little valve. Can anyone tell me what to do here? THanks!
