I first used Fabulon in 1958 when I refinished the floors in an older house. When I sold the house 13 years later, The floors are what sold the house - they still looked fantastic. Wear patterns were easily refinished after clean-up with flax soap and steel wool. The refinish melts into the old finish and you can't tell where the refinish lines were. You can't do that with Poly finishes. I built a new house in 1971 and used Fabulon on all the floors. 23 years later (with only 1 refinish) they still looked great when I sold the house. My problem is that I can't find the original formula anymore. Pierce & Stevens seems to have disappeared and Fabulon along with them. Does anyone know if it is still available and where I can get it?
