I did a similar project in my home last summer. You can buy that orange peel in an aerosol can. I picked mine up at Lowe's. It cost about 12 or 13 bucks if I remember right. I did the drywall mudding. Got it smooth as possible after multiple applications, then applied the orange peel. You can not tell where the patch was done. The orange peel aerosol can nozzle (spelling) is adjustable for different textures, looks, etc... Make sure you do a few test sprays (letting it dry thoroughly) before doing your ceiling. I used scrap drywall for my tests. The texture match was exact. It's pretty easy to do. Good luck! Mike
