I would first locate the electrical lines, pipes if any, and any other inside surprises.
Consider the floor area when that wall is gone, do you have extra carpeting, tile, or lino that you will use there. You will need something to match or patch when that is gone.
Do you have any doors that are on that wall that you will be using? What will be done with that?
Have you thought about home re sale value and what another home owner will think about this wall being gone. Is it important to the division of the home? Will this increase or decrease the value of the home? Maybe it wont matter, I just like to throw that in.
If you have check out all this, then get the sawzall, tarps, prybars, and take her down.
