Hi laura-
In answer to your question, you should have your tub refinished. Cost-comparison to replacing the tub is a no-brainer. Your tub can look practically brand new in be ready to use in a day. The whole process will take between 3-4 hours. It should run between $300-400 dollars depending on how scarred up the tub bottom is, and where you live at. You should receive at least a 5 year written warranty. The tub, if done right should last between 10-20 years. Hope this helps
