old pine floors- no subfloor-stability

Last year we purchased a 100 year old house(one story)with all pine hardwood floors with no subfloor so what you see is what you get! We had them refinished and repaired in some places and they are not perfect by no means but we like them. The problem is that they give when you walk and in some places we have had to putty in between some of the boards because you could see daylight through the cracks. Is there something that we can do underneath the house to stabilize the floor? What do people do when restoring old floors such as these? Also the floors are very cold in the winter since there is no subfloor! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
