Old Linoleum

Posted by Laura on July 18th, 1999 12:08 AM

We are remodeling our kitchen and part of that process is installing new flooring. Our house is about 21 years old so asbestos is definately a concern of ours. The floor is squeaking in a couple of spots so we need to fix that, but can that be fixed without tearing up the old linoleum? and if so how? We would rather lay a new floor (either one of those wood "floating floors" or tile the kitchen) over the linoleum rather than tearing it up. Any comments would be very much appreciated!! Thanks!
