OK but...

The park I live in does have an in-ground pool. No one every uses the cement pond anymore, and there are fish living in it. So I'm sure I could get away with this.

After pondering on this for a while I came up with the following pro's and cons...

Pro - Easy installation... cost effective
Con - Moisture tends to gather in in-ground pools.

Pro - The foundation has prebuilt stairs into the basement.
Con - Strong chloring smell

Pro - 9 foot cielings in half the basement
Con - 3 ft cielings in the other half.

Pro - If I do get water in my basement I just have an indoor pool.
Con - The damn neighbor kids will keep peeing in my basement.

I will keep this option in mind though. Thanks Nice B, it's refreshing to not get a smart-aleck response every now and then.
