I am a redmodeling and restoration contractor. I have used Nu Wall fiberglass sheet very sucessfully to repair badly damaged plaster walls.
I did not purchase the adhesive Nu Wall sells. Rather, I used an application of joint compound [slightly thinned with a small amount of water] and applied to the wall [after repairing/replacing damaged plaster with structeral plaster and/or light-weight setting joint compound]. I applied joint compound with a 1/2" nap paint roller, layed over the fiberglass sheet material, then troweled away the excess. I later applied a skim coat, lightly sanded, and painted.
