If you are using vinyl base glue is the way to go.You can try to glue wood base but, I don't know if the wood would be able to expand and contract.Also I have used some pretty bowed pieces of trim, so to glue them would require holding them in place and hoping the paper on the drywall didn't give after the glue set.Nails are much faster and they hold the base tight to the drywall.I say much faster if you use a trim nailer.I myself keep a hotglue gun plugged in whenever I am trimming for the real small pieces that I know a nail split into a few pieces.Luck
