Hi, Zuki. What you have is a picture of wood printed on Mylar (or something very close to it)that is glued to particle board. Because laminates like Formica have some thickness, you have some chance painting them since you can sand the surface. You need to be able to sand to break down the surface smoothness and give some tooth the the surface that you are painting. The Mylar does not have enough thickness for sanding and scratches deep enough to help the paint stick will go right through it. So the long winded answer is no, you can't paint particle board furniture. Sorry.
