Hi heather,

HDPB is used as a 'base' for products such as flooring, countertops, and shelving, et. al.. I think you're being slightly mis-informed because an 'exposed' HDPB floor wouldn't last even if you stained or painted it. The products I initially mentioned have some sort of 'finish material', like a laminate (Formica or vinyl or whatever) applied to (at least) the top of the HDPB. (That's why I said that HDPB is used as a base; not as a 'finished product' in and of itself.)

Do you have some particular product that's being 'touted' to you??? If so, what is it?
