there is no wig-wag on a hotpoint (GE) washer; wig-wag only used on pre 1985 whirlpool makes...
hotpoint has a coil that activate an arm to catch part of the clutch asm allowing two speeds. This arm often breaks, caused by changing speeds while unit is can check coil for continuity should be somewhere between 500 & 1500 ohms...also can check when should be activated for 120 vac present; but most likely that arm is broken
You can go to click on parts... put in your model #. If it is in the data base you can choose to look at parts diagrams.. you should be able to locate the clutch asm and the catch...
