I just finished doing a bedroom for a lady, the walls are now a dark baby doll blue, the ceiling is pure white flat the crown is the same color and sheen as the trim which is the base board, the doors and door trim, the window trim.

This room really looks good. Colored walls and white ceilings are in vogue now, but that will change. People are getting away from that look of the inside of a styrofoam coffee cup. Different colored rooms are really neat. Save all that paint for each room for touch ups.

Ceilings look nice when flat or eggshell. They are soothing and gentle.

But again, the crown looks good when the same as the trim in that room and especially when oil base gloss white.
