No Recommendation Because ...

Hi Larry,

From the sounds of it, if you're getting standing water in the middle of the basment, no Dry-Lok or bonded 'sealer' will keep the water out. As you even mentioned, hydrostatic pressure if VERY difficult to prevent.

If water is standing, you have a couple of choices. You can channel a line to a corner and install a sump pump. Or, you can follow the same guidelines I recently suggested a post having to do with Exterior Wall, or What?. (The part about gutters, downspouts, and landscaping.) Beyond that, you can take your chances with the Dry Lok type products (but not Dry-Lok as you mentioned.)

You may find that your gutters are improperly installed, overflowing, even MISSING (where there should be gutters), or leaking. The same with your downspouts. AND, there may be bad sloping outside the house's foundation.
