but you cannot use the same strip because the integrity of the original holes are now compromised. you need new fresh holes.

You might want to use one of those Remington 22 nail guns for cement to drive that sucker in the slab. On such a light job as this, I would use small nails with the light load.

Otherwise, try using concrete nails using only one whack, I repeat only one whack per nail. The second whack ruins the whole thing.

Get some nails like what is used on the carpet tack strips.
