Part of my problem is that in many place, there is no bevel. I am working in two main areas, one is a hallway and area above a stairwell. The second is a bedroom ceiling.
From what I can tell, there are no bevels at the top and bottom edge of the drywall. For the seams along the ceiling at those joints, I just have to allow it to bulge out. If I feather it out far enough, it's not as noticeable. The seams along the beveled areas seem to be OK, but they didn't use enough mud over the other seams.
The hallway seems to be made of a bunch of small pieces put together like a puzzle. There is only one full-size sheet. Due to the shape and the return air duct, I have a large number of seams in this area. Only one side of the large sheet is in an area where I can make use of the bevel.
