Hello Im new to this forum and have a question about wall insulation going in on my new home.
There is an option for a $1500 upgrade to have R15 installed in the walls and R38 in the ceilings VS R13 in walls and R30 in ceilings.
The reason I am conserned is because this is going to be a 2 story house with our rooms upstairs. During the hot Austin, TX summers the temp easily is in the 100s everyday.
Will I make up the cost of the upgrades after only 1-2 years? Or is it better to go with the standard insulation?
