new framework

Posted by andie on January 22nd, 2003 08:15 PM

I am currently doing new framework on a compressed wood dresser. My first goal was to start repainting it but before that I decided to take a look at the framework so it doesnt fall apart. The pieces that were not solid wood have been taken off. They will be replaced with solid wood instead. I want to know the best way to attach them back on the compressed wood side panels and backing. Do I use glue, nails, both or what? And what kind? Also...the metal drawer rails has got to go. Whats the best way to remove those staples?
