I'm in the market for a moderately priced finish nailer. I have quite a bit of window & door casing to put up. My L.R. was paneled with masonite paneling and I put up 1/2" drywall over the paneling. Do I want a finish nailer or a brad nailer? The brad nailer shoots 18 ga. brads up to 2 1/8" long. Is that sufficient to put up 5/8" casing. The finish nailer shoots 16 & 15 ga. nails up to 2 1/2" long. I was told the brad nailer is better because it leaves smaller holes than the finish nailer. What do you think? Thanks....
