The home will never settle to a fixed point. The soils will be void of moisture and fall, then full of moisture and heave. This will go on forever to an extent.

I have seen too many far too many ceramic tile flooring that has that crack all the way across the floor.

I would always use square vinyl tile. Squares can easily be replaced and repaired, Sheet cannot be so.

Ceramic tile flooring is cold, grout will turn colors, and everything that falls on it will break.
