Linoleum is a composite resilient flooring product consisting of a burlap or rag felt backing and a surface made of cork and/or wood flour with linseed oil binders. This is then protected by a coat of wax, lacquer or resin applied under heat and pressure.

Of course, that is clearly NOT vinyl flooring that everyone CALLS linoleum. Thanks for pointing that out!

Assumptions like that can get a guy in trouble!
