My little Castle...

Posted by Inge Agrifoglio on October 25th, 1997 02:35 PM

To Mr. *** ****s:

Dear Bob,

I am not certain if this is the appropriate site to
contact you. However, it seems to be a good starting

Let me begin by saying that my husband and I own a most
unique and charming home. It was built some time in
the early 1920s. The structure is all brick with
weeping mortar. The architecture is somewhere between
Spanish and English Cottage Style.
Upon my first entrance into this house,
my impression was that I entered a small castle,
with its tall domed ceilings, arched windows and
doorways. The rooms are large
and cathedral like. The Octagon Sun Room, surrounded
by windows, was the icing on the cake. Decorating it
was/is fun and challenging.

We are in the process of investigating enlarging the
master bedroom and adding a full bathroom. However,
our concern is the fundamental charm and uniqueness of
this house. We do not want to do anything which would
make it look "added on" so to speak.

I have always thought it's a wonderful house for one of
the *** ****s Shows. Hence my letter to you.

We live in Crystal Lake, Il., a small town 45 miles
northwest of Chicago.

If you are interested in learning more about our house,
I would be happy to send you pictures via E-Mail or
Snail Mail.

Very truly yours,
Inge Agrifoglio
