I, and probably the majority of the 'regular Follow-uppers' on the Forum, will say there's nothing like a 3/4" solid hardwood floor. Yes, it's more $$$ than what you want to do but it will add value to your home and it can be refinished 2-3 times over its life.

The type of flooring you're looking at is none-of-the-above. And if part of the floor gets damaged, it may not be repairable or difficult at best. I wouldn't use wood-based flooring in the kitchen of any type. (Just my preference when it comes to water in the room.) What you might want to do is read the installation instructions and the warranty card before you get too far. At least you'll know what the mfgr. says they will and WON'T do if there's a problem w/the floor. Then you'll be in a better position to make a more educated decision.
