Muriatic Acid on bathroom fixtures

I used a product called "ZAP" that I purchased at my plumbing supply store. I soaked the fixture(s) in a empty butter bowl (anything plastic will do that you can toss). Let the fixture soak in the ZAP for a few minutes and it comes out clean as a whistle. Don't leave items soaking for an extended period of time, as the solution is acidic and will eventually dissolve the metal.
