In reply to Moving a Sears Catalog House by Jane in Hamilton on August 3rd, 1999 08:00 PM [Go to top of thread]

I found a guy that bought a Sears Catalog Home and had it moved. Granted, it may NOT be the same home as yours BUT he did do things like take apart a chimney and stuff.

Read this article Sears Catalog Home Gets New Life, and at the bottom of the WEB page, you can contact the newspaper that published it. Maybe you can search Yellow Pages On-line for the guy's name. Heck, call Sears in the town (or nearby town) where the article was written. I'm sure SOMEONE knows something. Even the utility company in the town can be used a lead. How 'bout Sears Corporate Headquarters? Whoever you ask, always ask if they don't know, do they know someone someone else who might. Check for house moving companies. And on and on.

My best to ya and hope this helps.

Jay J
