Myra, one other comment to my previous post. If you ever used any product--sealer, cleaner, etc--containing silicon on the surface, there is one answer and that is get rid of the tub. Silicon will make any paint "fisheye" or glob up in circles. There is no cure and no amount of cleaning will get rid of it. The only exception is some of the paintable caulks and a little caulk left around the outside edge should cause you no problem. If you don't know what "fisheye" in paint is, believe me, you don't want to find out the hard and expensive way.
