More on Flickering Switch

Good point. I do not believe the switch is supposed to flicker, as the same switch next to it in the same box on the same circuit does not flicker. They are the same make, model, bought at the same store on the same date. I have installed the same switches throughout the house, and none of them flicker except this one. I am not even sure how they illuminate. If it is a type of bulb, then I would imagine it would either be steady on or off. I suppose the best thing to do is to replace the switch and see if that fixes the problem. Like you said, they're cheap, and if it truly does represent a hazard, I will consider it a few bucks well spent. I was hoping to hear that the flickering was a common thing with these types of switches, and that I did not have to worry about it.
