I can move the stat, thats no problem.

burning wood in the upstairs fireplace would require
hunping wood three floor up and buying another insert, and thats big $$$
we have a Lopi revere downstairs and its great, but they retail for about $ 1700
havent been able to find a used efficent insert that will fit our prefab f/p.

whats the difference dangerwise, in a ventless gas logs and a ventless wall heater?
all the wall heaters i have seen have a lo oxy cutoff sensor. dont know if the logs have them
I live in Atlanta but i know in St Johns county FLA
the code does not allow real wood burning fireplaces in bedrooms but gas ones are alllowed.

What i realy wanna do is install a heatpump for each floor, have electric w/h and stove,
and at least the lectric is still regualted in GA, so they cant jack the price too much at one time.
if so we will prolly use package units
so i can do it myself. cheapest bid ive gotten for a single h/p is $6500 and i aint that stupid,
i can get --2-- package units and do it my self for less than that,.
