If you're asking how to remove mold and mildew from the house EXCEPT from anything that is made of fabric, you can mix 1 cup of bleach with 1 gallon of water, and start wiping down. DON'T use this on anything that will absorbe the mixture! Only on metal or formica or finished wood and the like. Fall and Winter host this problem because, well, your windows and doors are always closed this time of year. Hence, the build up of moisture which leads to mold and mildew problems.

If you have a vent in the bathroom, sometimes running that will help draw the moisture (and heat) out of the apartment. Just simply opening the TOP part of a window about 1/2 inch or so can do wonders too. (Do open the window at the bottom a little so that air can 'push out' the warm air at the top. Air IN = Air OUT) And sometimes, running the fan on the HVAC system will help circulate the air (if you have such a feature.)

The key is to vent the warm, moist air to the outside if possible, or distribute it around the apartment so it doesn't linger too long in one spot to inspire mold and mildew. Turning off some lights or turning them down will help reduce the amount of heat in the kitchen and apartment. (The warmer the air, the more moisture it will hold. AND, warm air rises, thus, the most moisture is up towards the ceiling!) My best to ya and hope this helps.
