moisture and humidity problem

Posted by lost with humidity problem on November 28th, 2000 11:41 AM

I have ran out of answers with this problem of moisture. My humidity level in my house has been reading around 60 - 65%. The attic has plenty of insulation in it and plenty of vents in the soffits with three gable vents. No leaks from the roof that I can see. The crawlspace looks real good. Plenty of foundation vents, plastic covering the dirt ground in the whole crawlspace, the foundation walls are insulated, but the floor is not insulated, there is no plumbing leaks. No standing water either, ground slopes away from the house, gutters look real good. I have a dehumidifier but I don't want to run it 20 hours of the day. During the day no cooking is going on or washing of any kind, usually this is done in the evening when everyone is home. I really don't know what to do or even look for now, I just about exhausted all possibilites. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions please let me know, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank-you for your time.
