I am currently with legal counsel regarding a modular Cape placed on my property. On the unfinished 2nd floor (no insullation) you can see the OSB. There were 4 holes in the dormer wall where the "set crew" punched through the wall to put the lifting straps (this was on the first time they tried to set the walls/roof, as the roof fell on a crew worker the 1st time).
The second time a different "crew" finished "buttoning up" the 2nd floor they merely pushed the OBS away from the stud just enough to slide the straps through.
The probelm is, the holes in the rear dormer (as well as one in the roof) were merely patched with leftover OSB pieces. When I met with my lawyer and modular company's "service" "rep", he stated that this was "normal".
How absurd was that!!! Have you ever heard of such a thing?
Is there a way that I can complain to an agency that oversees modular home dealers? I've already filed a complaint with the attorney general's office.
