Modifying structural masonry interior walls in mid-19th Century home

Posted by Ted Sames on January 23rd, 2003 08:15 PM

We need help finding information pertaining to removal of (or enlarging openings in) brick interior walls in our 1852 two-story farmhouse. This house has no stick walls, but instead, has thick, brick, interior cross walls. All of the floor joists are hung in joist pockets in these brick walls. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
