Installation of a modern furnace would be the first suggestion. You would have huge efficiency gains (92% from probably 70%), and the modern furnaces will pull moisture from the home. The second suggestion is to get A/C with the new furnace, and use it during those muggy summer months.

The money you spend on a new furnace will be saved in short order on fuel. If you have a modern furnace, repost.
