In reply to insulating an older mobile home by Izzi Lukes on October 21st, 2000 05:09 PM [Go to top of thread]

I live in Southern Pa; My lady friend and I escaped Northern Pa, to get away from the harsh winters. Well this winter of 2003 beats them all. It is the worst winter they have had down here in years. To top it all off, we bought a mobile home here. Big mistake, as we are on a fixed income, and our gas bills have been running close to @250.00 a month, and we just cannot afford that. Mobile homes are not insulated worth a darn. How in the world can we insulate one for a cheap rate??????? Plus this one has a gas fireplace, that when we first seen it, we thougth how romantic!!!!!!! WRONG!!!!!! You lose heat through these things. WHAT CAN WE DO???????? Any help will be greatly appreciated, and you can e-mail us. Gary Sullivan
