Miter saws for the novice....

Hi Pam,
If you're really bent on getting a power miter saw, I would suggest NOT getting one made for professionals, considering it won't be used that much. I would check one out at Sears for around $150 - $175. Some are even cheaper. For what you'll be doing with it, you won't need all the bells and whistles and accuracy adjustments, etc. Again, I would highly consider renting a quality saw and an air powered finish nailer to increase your chances of obtaining quality results at your skill level. The nail gun is very easy to operate and SOOOO efficient. It's not something to be afraid of, yet damaging expensive molding is !! There's a price to pay for Peace of Mind....
