When my husband and i bought our house, the dryer vent vented into the house causing major condensation problems with our windows. We fixed the dryer problem and the condensation is getting better. The moisture caused mildew to grow on our windowsills and the drywall is now falling apart around the windows. I have used a strong mildew cleaner and seemed to have temporarily fixed the problem. I was wondering what would be the best way to replace the drywall around the windows? Also is there preventative measures we can take while replacing the drywall to make sure this does not happen again? By the way there is no mildew anywhere else in the house.
