Just a quick comment on MIG welders. I own a Lincoln SP100, and for a long time used flux cored wire (.030) and never liked the looks of the welds, the splatter, and the problems with thin material. This welder has the gas solenoid built in and i recently changed to .025 bare wire with a gas mix of 90% Argon, 5% carbon dioxide, 5% oxygen and the results are outstanding. The bottom line is be sure the welder has a gas solenoid built in and your only extras later are a regulator (flowmeter), hose, and gas. Ive seen MIG welders at SAMS clubs etc. and there lacking the solenoid and don't have infinite voltage and wire feed controls, as you know, we get what we pay for.
Best of luck, Paul
