I just put up a pole barn with a metal roof. I don't know of a web site but I went to amazon.com and searched for books on pole buildings. Found and bought several and all discussed metal roofs in their sections on roofing.
In my case, I used engineered trusses at 4'OC with 2X4 purlins at 2' OC. Screwed the metal roof panels to the purlins with the screws supplied by the roofing manufacturer (they come with rubber washers under the heads). Drove the screws thru the lands of the roof panels just so they compressed the rubber by about half.
It was pretty straight forward. Luckily my uncle is a lightweight and doesn't mind heights. He had to climb up the purlins to run the screws - 20 some feet up at the ridge! By-the-way, have several extra cordless drill batteries. We did the roof of a 16 X 32 building (9/12 pitch) in a day with two working high and one handing the panels up.
