I read your response for the woman wanting to paint her kitchen countertops. I'd like to offer a humble and unsolicited opinion.

In my humble opinion it is not a wise idea to paint kitchen countertops because they are "food contact surfaces". Paints were never meant to be ingested. Also you mentioned that BIN is the stickiest primer available. I'd like to ask you to try a product that not a lot of people are aware of; X.I.M. Primer is a solvent based primer that sticks like nothing I've ever used (I've used a lot of BIN). BIN has it's uses, but sticking to formica isn't one of them. only trust XIM to stick to things like varnish or poly and there is nothing that will stick to a hard, slick surface like formica as well.

Give it a try.
