It's hard to tell from your post what the real issue here is. If the crew made a hole in the OSB and it was patched by cutting out the defective area and then using a piece that was large enough to span the 16 or 24 inches on center, I see no problem. I would have perhaps backed up the "patch" from the inside to give it more structural integrity if it was on the roof. The patch will not detract from the strength of the house, and it will be hidden after the siding and roofing are installed, so I don't see a problem.
If you are concerned for instance, that you now have a 4x6 and 4x2 sheet pieced together to make a 4x8 sheet of OSB, I wouldn't worry about it.
