'Aimee' has the answer right-quick for ya. But if you're not in the mood to repaint, consider 'sponging' over with a matching color. You can buy these kits from the Paint Aisle in the Home Centers. Or, you can cut out your own 'designer sponges' to do the job. If I'm not mistaken, there are books that show you what your results might look like.
This may not be your 'style' (and it's certainly not mine.) I bring this up only because my wife has a single Mom that did just this. It turned out nice in her bedroom. Maybe it's not a good idea for a dining room but, then again, maybe the design(s) you choose has a LOT to do with its 'appropriateness' in the dining room. (Just my $.02 ...)
