I found one of a few sites that 'tout' this method. However, additional reading said this method was more time consuming than using solutions made by Zinsser (like DIF or DIF Gel). I guess for some $$$, you can buy back some quality and time.

I know when I used DIF that it only took me about an hour to do a 10' x 12' room w/an 8' ceiling. And it didn't smell. Fair enough. 50% vinegar + 50% water is a suggested, low-cost method for wallpaper removal. I guess the odor is worth considering too. Thanks for the tip!
